It goes without saying that this is both tragic and frightening at the same time. It seems that the "perfect storm" of events has created the potential for a disaster of epic proportions. An earthquake of record-breaking magnitude hit a locale that was not only prone to result in a massive tsunami but also potentially lead to nuclear meltdown. With so many coincidental elements at play, it's hard not to venture off into conspiracy land and conjure up the possibility of these people being "targeted." Whether they were or not, my heart goes out to them and their loved ones. I hope the worst is behind them and that they recover from this tragedy as quickly as possible.
